to have and to be

This week and last week have been very busy and full of so many adventures. I think God is trying to show me that my original plan to be a Hermit was not going to happen. But I do have the plan that I can actually get everything done and still have a "normal" college life.

The first week of school, for quick summary. First day got to rid in a Ambulance, went to most of work, went to FHE and realized that my Institute Teachers are amazing! Tuesday recovering from Monday. Wednesday stayed up way too late talking, so worth it! Thursday recovering from Wednesday. Friday went to work, volleyball game and watched a movie.

Saturday is the big day for me. For the first time since I graduated from High School I was able to go to the Temple in Denver and do baptisms for the dead!!! I drove down and our car was HILARIOUS!!!! Devin you are officially my hero with all the stories that you told! Sad part was for a moment we thought that we weren't going to be able to do Baptisms because we were late due to traffic.... but they let us in and I had to be uber quick because I was up next in the line up! But it was a amazing time for me, I felt so good and I realized how far I've come from where I was. I still have a long way to go but I have a better feeling that I can get there.

Later that evening there was a YSA dance...... Yes feel free to groan here I did when I thought about it. But IT WAS THE BEST ONE EVER!!!! Fast dances aren't a big issue for me because who cares if you dance like a dork as long as you can pull a sweet/funny move people don't care. Its the slow dances that I usually hate. BYU-I has officially ruined me for slow dances because I know how much fun waltzing is and how much of a workout it is even though it is a slow dance. Anywho, there was a guy there who could waltz, and he was amazing. Sorry Derek this guy gets the trophy with for having Chemistry in dancing. I must also say thank you to the other guys that asked me to dance during the slow dances, it definitely improves a girls self-esteem when she is asked to dance. It did mine.

Sunday was also amazing, it was combined with all the student wards here and the Stake Presidency talked. I love those men for how powerful their messages are, they truly testify of Christ and I feel the truth in their words every time I hear them speak of Him and the Gospel. I realized how much I need to do to become better in my life and what needs improvement. It was also crazy because we had a early morning breakfast too, Eli I will get you back for pouring water in my ear to wake me up! And later on that day we received a MASSIVE hail storm that were as big as marbles and it flooded the street! My roommates and me sat out on our porch and watched it all. And we also went to "Grandmas" she is a awesome lady!

My roommates are also amazing girls! I really wish I could be around them more. They make my life so much fun and I am blessed for how much they do for me. I don't think they realize how sweet spirited and beautiful young women they are. (Yes guys they are gorgeous I'll prove it when I get pictures taken!). They are talented in being kind, generous and merciful when I am cranky. Love them!

Monday, met with the Missionaries and realized I have never been taught by missionaries ever. It was fun I went on a scavenger hunt, to teach how when we do something that the Lord commands us to do we are rewarded for it. I got candy at the end of my hunt. And then I got volunteered to sing for the Devotional on Tuesday. Also went on a dancing date, Clayton you are amazing at dancing, I'm glad that I can follow. Tuesday came and I sang "Come thou Fount of Every Blessing" A Capella. It sounded good and I didn't miss any words, so it went well. :) and that has been my time at Laramie so far. Very eventful and fun so far, especially for trying to be a Hermit.
